came to the class wondering how four days could be stretched out enough to include everything we would need to be “Masters”. I did not think or dream that there would ever be so much. I have taken classes many times that simply turned into “gab sessions” and case discussions. Vicki had control over the class and we got down to business. It was worth the investment. My only regret is that I couldn’t have had this class sooner. I am more than impressed with the company and its integrity and passion.

Thank you Vicki for being professional while fun all at the same time.

I thank NASP for giving so much knowledge to us to share with our clients.
The educators that I have encountered have been great, giving me knowledge to share with my clients, and confidence in my work.

I am now promoting your courses to my colleagues so they, too, may benefit from the NASP classes.

I look forward to continuing with the other levels.

All nail / pedicure professionals, including foot care nurses, sale should take this highly informative educational program. It will provide for a better quality of service in our field. The NASP program is of a higher level compared to college courses I have taken.

I just had to write a quick letter to express my extreme excitement after my coworker and I took a class with Katharin von Gavel. Honestly, we did not want to leave. Her delivery and knowledge were incredible. I was a Mathematics major in school, so I like to know how to get the solution, not just the answer to the problem. The class makes sense to me and I cannot wait to learn more and pass on this information and healing to my clients. Thank you so much.

I am so happy I took this course. I will never do a pedicure the same way again.

I was inspired to take the NASP course to have the knowledge and skills to offer a healthier service to people, especially seniors.

Becoming specialized in this area sets me apart from the competition and offers much more opportunity to advance.

What drew me to this class is that it seemed like the most Certified Master Pedicurist course available. It has actually exceeded my expectations.

    I can’t thank Suzanne enough.

    To our wonderful instructor Suzanne:

Hello, we are so grateful to have had you join us at our spa. You have taken our careers to another level. We are so happy and it’s all because of you. Thank you so much.

    God bless!

To all of you at the North American School of Pedicuring:

“WOW” What a fabulous five days I have had in the company of Vicki Malo and other students. It has been a long time since I have some something for myself to this magnitude. I’m grateful that you care this much about such a special industry.

My world has had the doors flung wide open as to what I can do for people of all walks of life, all ages and all shapes. In 30 minutes to an hour their lives are in the palms of my hands. Yes, I’ve done this work for a while, but not like I’m going to be doing differently from this day forward. I will never look at feet or clients in quite the same way again, because it doesn’t just stop at the ankle. What a gift to have the fate of someone’s life, wow!

Thank you for all you did for me, I’m looking forward to more encounters with NASP, Vicki and, of course, Katharin who took time out of her busy day to speak to us.

The instruction of the CMP program by Vicki was so well explained and presented that I learned and processed more information in the four days than the entire Nail Technician course.
The flow of the class and instruction was very smooth and Vicki is a phenomenal ‘direct to the point’ (without pontificating), patient instructor.

Thank you for offering this much-needed course.

I will recommend anyone and everyone who is passionate about foot care and only wants to excel in it, to take the NASP classes. The classes are presented to you only by highly educated individuals who are here for you and who want you to succeed. Classes are hands on, fun and exciting. I could take a class every day if I could. The learning materials are unbelievable.

This has been the best education class I have ever taken, I can’t wait to take more classes and finish the B Podology!

    Dear Suzanne,

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn under your expertise. The only area in the cosmetology school I attended that lacked in theory and practical was pedicures. And yet that is the service most of my clients feel I surpass others in. In fact one friend/client said to me after I told her I had completed your course, “what could you possibly learn?”My thoughts pass between, “I can’t believe how much I learned” to “I can’t believe how little I knew!”

My most valuable lesson was recognizing tinea pedis and onychomycosis, to discover Footlogix is a blessing.

So here back at the spa I am on fire! I have adopted the title as a foot police. My clients appreciate the knowledge as much as I, as now we can start addressing their problems.

Suzanne you are a gifted teacher, and I feel privileged to have been your student. You provided a relaxed atmosphere and insured an attainable outcome.

I plan to continue with the other levels. Thank you.

Wow! What an experience. I have been given the power of knowledge and understanding as a professional in the field of pedicuring. This class has impacted my life and compelled me to raise the bar of excellence to a realm I never though possible. Thank you.

Every pedicurist in the world should be exposed to the education and hands-on training that I was given at the Master Pedicure program. My ability and skill to consult, recognize and recommend with the medical terminology needed is phenomenal. You have allowed me to step up my game among other pedicurists into a class of its own. I look forward to pushing towards the higher mark of BScPod made available through this school.

Again, I would like to thank NASP for giving me the confidence and the knowledge to stand up and be counted as one of the most elite Master Pedicurists in North America.

  • Infection

Biomechanics, gait, foot evaluation? When would I ever need that information! How wrong I was. I learned so much in this class that I would recommend it to everyone taking level 1. It broadens your knowledge in ways you can’t even imagine.
    Sandra P., Ontario
Who would ever think that a pedicure could possible kill someone? We had our eyes opened to the potential hazards or inadequate sanitation practices. My salon will now be the safest in my area. Thank you!
    T.J., New York
My eyes were opened wide after taking the very full day in infection Control. Everyone in the salon/spa industry should put aside one day to take this course!
    J.M., Ontario
    Dear Vicki,

I thoroughly enjoyed both the Level 1 and 2 course education. I can now educate my clients on numerous levels. I know the anatomy structure of the foot and correct terms for diseases / disorders of the skin and nail. Most importantly, I know specific precautions to take with clients who show signs of diabetes, CVI or who are elderly. I now know proper sanitation / disinfection / sterilization protocols. I feel very confident as a new nail technician!

  • Comprehensive

I took level 3 because I had to in order to complete all classes. I couldn’t understand why there would be four days on leg and foot evaluation. What I found was a fast moving class that was actually fun in parts! I never thought I would use this type of information, but find that I am recognizing problems that I have learned about every day.

    Thank you Cindy!

  • Advanced

I’ve been an esthetician for 25 years and found this course to be a great refresher on nail and foot care. The importance of doing a proper examination, the information on nail disorders and related diseases, along with Diabetes, was very in-depth, informative and helpful for my working with my clients.
    Lizabeth Harrison, British Columbia
Dr. Aust delivered an exceptional course. He is extremely knowledgeable and is willing to share that knowledge with the class. All questions were fully addressed. Highly informative!

Monique D. Ray, White Oak, NC
I feel honoured to be an integral part of the fantastic educator team of NASP. The knowledge level and practical abilities of the graduating students are impressive. For me personally, the most satisfying part of my work during the residency was watching how the students took advantage of the program to multiply their skills while working in the diabetic clinic, and how hungry they were to know more as they exchanged experiences with each other and the educators during the debriefing sessions. At that point I knew: This is the ultimate program ever! I look forward to going to St. Kitts again next year.
    J. Aust, Medical Director, Germany
On the way home from the residency, I sat beside a physician from Calgary AB who asked me for the difference between a Podiatrist and a C.Pod / CMP. I was able to explain that a C.Pod / CMP gives a professional pedicure, offering a full foot & lower limb evaluation, gait analysis, etc. We began discussing how the type of orthotics I have differ from the conventional ones. I explained that mine support the talus, allowing proper alignment of the tibia and fibula, etc, all the way up. The orthotics also help re-train the muscles so they are exercised and are able to hold form better. She also wanted to know if there is a C.Pod in the Calgary area for her own use & to whom she can refer patients. Thanks to Dr. Aust and the other educators for teaching us correct medical terminology, I was able to intelligently discuss the effects of Diabetes on the body, and what I really got from the residency was the scope of how diabetes affects the nerves.

This program has helped me become more confident when speaking to others, even if they turn out to be MD’s!

  • BSc Pod

Where do I begin!  I was not planning on doing my BSc. but I am very happy that I did.  It was a truly amazing experience.  It was also very humbling to say the least.  The staff at NASP has my utmost respect for all the hard work that was put into making this trip “an experience of a life time.”  It was for me a “defining moment” in my life that I will never forget.
    Diane Clark, Ontario
This experience has brought me home with my eyes wide open to say the least. Some of the things I saw, I have only seen in text books. To see them close up and personal was priceless. To works so close with such an experienced group of people showed the depth of our skill in unison. I felt so emotional leaving the seed we had planted; I want to watch it grow. Because of the education and experience I had with NASP and St. Kitts I have been invited to do a presentation to the Diabetic and Heart associations. I am hoping to secure a partnership with them to help as many people as I can with the skills and knowledge I have acquired. Thank you NASP for allowing me to be a part of the 2010 adventure. Thank you to all my classmates for the experiences of a life time.
    Karen Le Francois, British Columbia
The work we did was rewarding in so many ways, the knowledge we gained will remain with us always and the friendships built will last forever.  In short, my journey to St. Kitts was in large part to finish my degree and get my diploma, I was not prepared for what I actually received on the Island and owe much gratitude to everyone at NASP for a truly life changing experience.  It seems that every client who sits in my chair reminds me of one or all of you on a daily basis.
    Jody Koch, New York
Our trip to St. Kitts will go down in my personal history book as an experience of a lifetime.  My goal was to further my education as a Podologist. What I received was a lesson in humility, an opportunity to meet like-minded people who turned out to be great friends and warm, caring, not to mention hard working, educators.  If hugs were money, I would be a millionaire, for that’s how the people who attended the Foot Clinics showed their gratitude.  Beautiful St. Kitts, the friendly people and of course the outstanding weather perfected my whole experience. A BScPod has allowed me to give me clients a better service because of the knowledge I have gained.  It has also opened up some doors for me and I believe it will continue to do so.
    Tish Deemer, Nova Scotia
When I returned from the St. Kitts trip, to my nursing position as a RPN at my hospital the RN’s could not belief that I had obtained my BSc. Degree in Podology.  My employer and co-workers have praised me and showed more faith in my skills than before. My private practice has expanded even more in the footcare business in the community, as well as the nursing and retirement homes. They are very happy and comforted to have a nurse in the Grimsby region with a BSC in Podology performing the services of quality footcare. The beaches were beautiful in St Kitts and the people were very friendly. The clinical setting was very organized and well appreciated by all. This was an eye opening experience that I have found very rewarding. We were from all different parts of the world, working together as a group with a united purpose. What a Team 2010… Thank you.

“Completing the BSc Pod degree marks the end of the academic journey that we have all taken and the beginning of a new one as graduate ambassadors of Podology. NASP in conjunction with The Open international University for Complementary Medicines has worked tirelessly to raise the awareness, standards and education of an industry filled with incredibly talented foot professionals eager and able to raise the bar and make a difference. This program is also a giant leap forward in forging symbiotic ties between chiropodists, podiatrists, pedorthist, medical professionals, nurses and the beauty foot care industry. Never before has the need been so apparent. It is aptly timed.  Thank you to the team of educators and to my fellow graduates for this truly enriching experience.”
    A. Mitchell, London, England
What an incredible experience. I went to St. Kitts to get my diploma, I never expected to come back feeling so fulfilled and gratified for helping so many people. This experience has changed my life, I want to do so much more now and help the less fortunate people of the world. It has given me new appreciation of how important foot care really is.
    Patricia Fougere, Nova Scotia
Going to St. Kitts with NASP was an incredible experience!  I was able to work with other professionals who have the same passion to help people with foot problems.  NASP provided us with the education and the experience we need to continue our work at home with a new understanding and appreciation.  It was an incredible opportunity to connect with other Podologist from across North America (and U.K.) who are now dear friends.  I am very proud that I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Podology and it shows others that I have taken the time and effort to advance in my profession.
    Margaret Haden-Pawlowski, Ontario
The St. Kitts residency was beyond my expectations. Each day brought more confidence as I was faced with different challenges. I felt it was a tremendous learning experience to be working under the gun so to speak, and to be outside my personal comfort level. The support and respect given by our teachers and mentors was a great part of the experience. I felt courageous enough to soar and succeed. I was proud to speak at our graduation, and when I returned home, I found myself far more confident in my practice, and laughing at myself at the small failures in my case studies. I find I am no longer shy to use my knowledge and educate my clients. I am honored to have been part of this experience and one of your students. Thank you so much.
