There is an opportunity for foot care nurses/professionals, C.Pods and experienced CMP’s  to assist with a monthly foot-care clinic for seniors, on the first Monday morning of every month.

The appointments are scheduled by volunteers.  The technicians are paid $20 per client for a 30 minute appointment, up to a maximum of 6 clients.

The 30 minute appointment includes performing a foot assessment, toe nail clipping and attention for/care of other potential special needs.

The foot-care clinic is held at Mount Calvary Lutheran church off Smyth Road, and is jointly sponsored by members of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, and Rideau Park United Church.  If interested, or for more information, please contact:

Certified Master Pedicurist:  Barrie Ontario – Sarah Ann’s Foot Care

Certified Master Pedicurist needed for a busy foot care practice in Barrie Ontario. Seeking a CMP to fill a contractor position part-time in Barrie, York Region & Peel Region. Hrs.15-22hrs a month to start with room to expand hrs. Great opportunity for a CMP who is looking to be a part of a team.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide foot care services to seniors within Retirement homes and clinics
  • Effectively Communication with family members and members of Sarah Ann’s Foot Care team
  • Assess, teach and educate on foot care related topics
  • Effectively document foot care services provided in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of proper aseptic techniques and infection control measures

We are looking for the following characteristics and qualifications:

  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to work independently to provide care to clients in a clinic setting
  • Proper certification and experience for the position for which you are applying
  • Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
  • Desire to promote the safety and comfort of patients
  • Must possess a positive attitude
  • Willingness to travel to multiple locations and work flexible hours
  • Vulnerable sector police check
  • Up to date immunizations and TB test
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Be self-confident, enthusiastic, friendly, positive, self-starter, competitive, creative, alert and active
  •  Must be willing to participate in team events to obtain new customers

Must be willing to attend training workshops

  • Must have personal liability insurance coverage
  • Must have valid Ontario drivers license and the use of a personal vehicle

To provide professional nail and foot-care services at the Club, offering each Member superior customer service.

Job Description:

*Skilled in pedicuring for seniors and those with implications of diabetes and chronic illnesses (i.e. dry skin, fungal infections) referring Members to podiatrist or other specialist when appropriate.
*Greet all members in person for each and every service
*Consult with members on needs, recommend professional products and services and deliver quality technical service which will enhance the member’s total look
*Be proficient in the latest salon techniques for pedicuring, manicuring and nail extensions
*Be proficient in use of salon equipment needed to perform technical work
*Ensure Members pre-book appointments, are given product recommendations and are aware of any promotional material available.
*Promote services within the Salon during slow periods
*Clean table, sterilize implements including pedicure area and foot bath
*Clean station at end of each schedule shifts
*Aid and assist other nail technicians and work in a team effort
*Support team culture and goals

*Certified Master Pedicurist designation required.
*Diploma or Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
*Must be able to perform basic manicures and pedicures as well as advanced manicure/pedicure techniques
*Able to perform nail enhancements acrylic, gel and fibreglass
*Creative Nails trained an asset
*Excellent English skills and organizational skills
*Highly customer/member service oriented
*Able to work independently
*Computer Literate
